1901 - May 20th - Chartered, Capital of $30,000
Succeeded The Bank of Clifton
1923 - Apr 2nd - Receivership, Capital of $100,000
Reasons: Incompetent Management & Local Depression
Although literature/advertisements of the time identify the bank without the 'The" in the title, 2nd charter banknotes erroneously add it, a mistake that was corrected with the transition to third charter in 1921. Unfortunately, the bank didn't last too much longer after that.
As of 2019, I've been unable to definitively identify the bank in any early photographs, or any modern buildings that still remain that might have been its location(s)
This bank offers the best source for obtaining second charter tens and twenties, especially date backs and value backs
